Terms of Service
Last updated: 13 August 2026
Introduction
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a contract between you and Halo eSIM Ltd (“Halo”, “we”, “us”), a company registered in England and Wales (company number 15176432) at 86-90 Paul Street, London, EC2A 4NE, United Kingdom.
These Terms govern the purchase and use of eSIM data plans from haloesim.com (“the Site”). By completing a purchase, you agree to these Terms. Please read them before buying.
What Halo is (and is not)
Halo is a reseller of travel eSIM data plans. We source plans through wholesale aggregators who have relationships with mobile network operators (“Carriers”) around the world.
Halo is not a mobile network operator. We do not own or operate telecommunications infrastructure. We do not operate as an Electronic Communications Service provider under the Communications Act 2003. The underlying network service is provided by our wholesale partner and their Carrier relationships.
Your relationship with Halo is a sales contract for a data bundle, governed by UK consumer law.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to purchase from us.
You must have an eSIM-compatible, carrier-unlocked device. eSIMs will not work on devices that are locked to a specific carrier or that do not support eSIM technology.
It is your responsibility to confirm your device is compatible before purchasing. Halo provides a compatibility guide at /compatibility to help you check.
The eSIM product
Each eSIM plan includes:
- A defined data allowance (for example, 5 GB)
- A defined validity period (for example, 30 days)
- Defined destination coverage (one country or a regional group)
Some plans are sold as Unlimited (daily) plans. These provide a set amount of full-speed data each day (currently 3 GB). After the daily amount is used, your connection continues at a slower speed for the rest of that day and resets the next day – you are never cut off. Unlimited plans are governed by the fair use policy in our Acceptable Use Policy and cannot be topped up.
The validity period begins when your eSIM first attaches to a mobile network in the destination country, not when you install the eSIM profile on your device. You can install the profile before you travel.
Plans do not auto-renew. When your data or validity period runs out, whichever comes first, the plan ends. Top-ups may be available for some fixed-data plans before they expire, subject to availability. Unlimited (daily) plans cannot be topped up or extended – to keep using data after an Unlimited plan ends, purchase a new plan.
Ordering and payment
Orders are placed through the checkout on haloesim.com, powered by Stripe. Prices are displayed in your local currency via Stripe Adaptive Pricing, inclusive of applicable VAT or GST where chargeable.
Halo does not see or store your card details. Your payment information is processed entirely by Stripe.
Payment confirmation triggers eSIM provisioning, which typically completes within 5 minutes. If provisioning does not complete straight away, we retry automatically. Where an eSIM cannot be provisioned at all, we will refund your order in full to your original payment method. If your eSIM has not arrived and you have not heard from us, chat with Hal from /support and we will sort it out.
Delivery
Your eSIM and installation instructions are delivered by email to the address you provide at checkout.
You are responsible for providing a correct email address. If your email address is wrong, we cannot deliver your eSIM and may not be able to issue a refund.
If you do not receive your delivery email within 30 minutes of payment confirmation, check your spam or junk folder. If it is not there, contact legal@haloesim.com.
Installation and use
We provide installation instructions for iOS and Android devices. You are responsible for correctly installing the eSIM profile on your device and ensuring that data roaming is enabled.
The eSIM is tied to the device on which it is installed. It cannot be transferred to another device.
Halo is not liable for installation errors, compatibility issues with devices not covered by our published compatibility guide, or changes to your device’s operating system that affect eSIM functionality.
Cancellation and refunds
Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you have a 14-day right to cancel from the date of purchase.
However, because eSIMs are digital content, activating your eSIM (the first network attach in a destination country) waives this cancellation right under Regulation 37. At checkout, you will be asked to acknowledge that beginning to use the eSIM means you lose your statutory right to cancel.
Halo goes further than the statutory minimum: if you have not activated your eSIM, you may cancel within 30 days of purchase for a full refund.
Full details are in our Refund Policy.
Your obligations
When using an eSIM purchased from Halo, you agree to:
- Use the eSIM for lawful purposes only
- Comply with the Acceptable Use Policy
- Not resell, sublicense, or transfer the eSIM or its activation details to any other person
- Not attempt to circumvent fair use limits, rate limits, or Carrier restrictions
We and our Carriers may suspend or terminate service if these rules are broken.
Coverage and service quality
Network coverage depends on the underlying Carrier in each destination. Halo publishes indicative coverage information on the Site, but we cannot guarantee network availability in any specific location at any specific time.
Speeds depend on network conditions, your device’s capability, and Carrier policies including deprioritisation at high usage levels. For Unlimited (daily) plans, Halo also applies its own fair use policy: after the daily full-speed amount is used, your speed is reduced for the rest of that day (see the Acceptable Use Policy). Actual speeds may vary from advertised maximums.
Halo is not liable for temporary network outages or service degradation at the Carrier level.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law:
- Halo’s total liability for any claim arising from or connected to an eSIM purchase is limited to the amount you paid for the affected order.
- Halo is not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages, including loss of profits, business interruption, or loss of data.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded under UK law.
Your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are not affected. If the digital content we supply is not of satisfactory quality, not fit for purpose, or not as described, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement, price reduction, or refund under the Act.
Because our eSIMs provide data only, they cannot be used to make voice calls, including emergency calls. You should always have an alternative means of contacting emergency services while travelling.
Intellectual property
“Halo eSIM” wordmark and the Halo eSIM logo are registered UK trademarks. All website content, branding, and illustrations are owned by Halo eSIM Ltd or used under licence.
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the service for personal, non-commercial purposes.
Complaints and dispute resolution
If you have a complaint, email legal@haloesim.com. We will acknowledge your complaint within 48 hours and aim to resolve it within 14 days.
If we cannot resolve the matter between us, you may refer your dispute to an accredited Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) provider. For information on accredited ADR providers, visit the Chartered Trading Standards Institute website at tradingstandards.uk.
Australian customers retain statutory rights under Australian Consumer Law and may contact the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission for further guidance.
This clause does not affect your right to bring court proceedings at any time.
Changes to Terms
Halo may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified by email to customers who have placed an order in the previous 12 months, at least 14 days before the changes take effect.
The current version and effective date are always displayed at the bottom of this page. Continued use of the Site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any non-waivable statutory rights you may have in your country of residence.
