…I quickly jumped on my mac and opened up Halo on my web browser to quickly add a small recharge so i could use data and Find My to locate my phone. I found out it was in the taxi, got in contact and recovered my phone. This would not have been possible if Halo was an app!!…

What is an eSIM?
An eSIM is a digital SIM built into your phone. Install a travel data plan without swapping a physical SIM card. You need an eSIM-compatible, unlocked device and an internet connection for setup.

Can I call and send SMS on my Halo eSIM?
Halo eSIMs are exclusively data-only eSIMs. While you can engage in voice calls and messaging through WhatsApp, FaceTime, and other widely used VoIP apps, traditional phone calls and SMS are not supported.

Is my device compatible with Halo eSIM?
Most phones from 2018 onwards support eSIM: iPhone XR and XS and newer, Pixel 3 and newer, Galaxy S20 and newer. If it's a reasonably recent phone, you're probably fine. Check our device compatibility page if you want to be sure.

When should I set up my Halo eSIM?
Before you leave, while you're still on Wi-Fi. Most plans only start counting data once you connect to a network at your destination, so there's no cost to installing early. One less thing to sort at the airport.

Can I top up my Halo eSIM?
Yes. Buy another plan for the same destination from your order page and the data is added to your existing eSIM, with no reinstall. Not available on Unlimited (daily) plans: buy a new plan when one ends.

Can I hotspot with my Halo eSIM?
Hotspot availability depends on the plan and the local network. On plans that support it, you can share your connection with a laptop or tablet, with no separate hotspot cap from Halo.

Do I need an app or account?
No. Buy and manage your plan in your browser. Your order email includes a link to My Halo, so there is no app to download or password to create.

How will I receive my eSIM?
Your installation details are emailed after payment, usually within a few minutes. The email includes setup options and your My Halo link. Check your spam folder if it has not arrived, then contact support.

How do daily unlimited plans work?
You get a daily full-speed allowance, then reduced speeds for the rest of that day. Full-speed data resets the next day. Check your chosen plan for the allowance and speed policy. Daily unlimited plans cannot be topped up.

Can one plan cover several countries?
Yes, regional plans cover multiple destinations. Check the included countries before buying: coverage varies by plan. Browse destinations and regional plans.

Where can I check my remaining data?
Open My Halo using the link in your order email. Fixed-data plans show remaining data and days; unlimited plans show their own usage view. Network-reported usage may take time to update.
