When to installNetworks vary by destination and are listed on each plan. All trade marks are the property of their respective owners. Halo is not affiliated with these operators.
A Halo eSIM for worldwide travel runs on Orange, Vodafone and other local networks. Plans run from 1 GB to 10 GB over 7 to 30 days. One plan covers 117 countries, so there is no profile to switch at a border. It arrives by email within minutes, installs before you fly, and starts counting only when your phone first connects on arrival rather than when you buy it. Every plan carries a 30-day money-back guarantee, any time before you activate.
Global plans cross borders on one profile, so the allowance has to cover the whole route rather than one stop. Budget for the days you will be moving as well as the days you will be still: navigation and transport apps are the heaviest ordinary use on a trip that crosses borders. The shelf runs 1 GB to 10 GB over 7 to 30 days.
These plans carry 5G where the local network has it, on Orange, Vodafone and other local networks, and fall back to 4G elsewhere.

Fixed-data Global plans come in 1, 3, 5 and 10 GB, in lengths of 7 and 30 days depending on the size. A fixed-data allowance is one pot for the whole plan, and every plan starts counting only when your phone first connects.
117, on one profile. You install the Global eSIM once and it keeps working as you cross between the countries it covers, so there is nothing to swap at a border and no second plan to buy for the next leg. Across the footprint it runs on Orange, Vodafone and other local networks.
Halo eSIMs are exclusively data-only eSIMs. While you can engage in voice calls and messaging through WhatsApp, Facetime, and other widely used VOIP apps, traditional phone calls and SMS are not supported.
Most phones from 2018 onwards support eSIM, including iPhone XR and XS and newer, Pixel 3 and newer, Galaxy S20 and newer. If it's a reasonably recent phone, you're probably fine. Check our device compatibility page if you want to be sure.
Before you leave, while you're still on Wi-Fi. Your plan only starts counting when you first connect to a network at your destination, so there's no cost to installing early. Global plans run from 7 to 30 days from that first connection. One less thing to sort at the airport.
Each plan lists its own networks and speed policy under Plan details on this page. Which networks a plan uses is set by our network partners and can change without notice, so we show them per plan rather than for the destination as a whole. Your device finds and connects to a supported network on its own when you arrive.
Yes. Running low? Purchase another plan for the same destination from your order page. The new data gets added to your existing eSIM. No reinstall needed.
Hotspot availability depends on the plan. Halo adds no separate hotspot cap and does not meter hotspot data differently, so on plans that support it you can share your connection with a laptop, tablet or travel companion where the local network allows. Hotspot is provided by the network operator in each country rather than by Halo, so it is not something we can guarantee on every plan.
