Across Morocco, you're in good hands. Off to Morocco? You're in good hands.

Four things we'll tell you before you pay, not after.

Networks vary by destination and are listed on each plan. All trade marks are the property of their respective owners. Halo is not affiliated with these operators.

Staying connected in Morocco

If your Morocco itinerary combines city stays with a longer excursion, prepare the essentials for both parts before you leave. Save your accommodation address, transfer details and booking confirmations locally so they remain available without loading a website. For a guided trip, keep the meeting place and organiser’s contact details on your phone. Mobile data is useful for messaging, checking arrangements and finding your way, but do not depend on continuous reception during a remote journey. Compare the allowance and validity of the plans above and check the networks and speed policy for the one you select. Install the eSIM on Wi-Fi before departure using the instructions in your delivery email. Once you arrive, select Halo for mobile data and enable data roaming on that eSIM. The plan provides data rather than a Moroccan phone number or traditional calls and texts.

How much data you'll need

Start with your phone’s recent mobile-data usage, then adjust for your trip length and plans for video calls, streaming, uploads or hotspot use. Save large downloads for Wi-Fi when available. Fixed data is one allowance for the whole plan; for daily unlimited, check the daily full-speed allowance and what happens after it is used.

5G

Check the networks and speed policy for your selected Morocco plan. A 5G connection also depends on your phone and local coverage; it is not guaranteed at every stop.

Questions? We've got answers.

  • Will I have data throughout a desert or mountain trip in Morocco?

Continuous coverage is not guaranteed. Save meeting points, accommodation details and bookings beforehand, and check arrangements with your organiser before leaving for a remote excursion.

  • Does my Morocco eSIM give me a Moroccan phone number?

No. Halo travel plans provide mobile data, without a local phone number or traditional calls and SMS. Internet-based messaging and calling services can use the data connection.

  • Can I call and send SMS on my Morocco eSIM?

Halo eSIMs are exclusively data-only eSIMs. While you can engage in voice calls and messaging through WhatsApp, Facetime, and other widely used VOIP apps, traditional phone calls and SMS are not supported.

  • Is my device compatible with this Morocco eSIM?

Most phones from 2018 onwards support eSIM, including iPhone XR and XS and newer, Pixel 3 and newer, Galaxy S20 and newer. If it's a reasonably recent phone, you're probably fine. Check our device compatibility page if you want to be sure.

  • When should I set up my Morocco eSIM?

Before you leave, while you're still on Wi-Fi. Your plan only starts counting when you first connect to a network at your destination, so there's no cost to installing early. Morocco plans run from 7 to 30 days from that first connection. One less thing to sort at the airport.

  • Which networks does my Morocco eSIM use?

Each plan lists its own networks and speed policy under Plan details on this page. Which networks a plan uses is set by our network partners and can change without notice, so we show them per plan rather than for the destination as a whole. Your device finds and connects to a supported network on its own when you arrive.

  • Can I top up my Morocco eSIM?

Yes. Running low? Purchase another plan for the same destination from your order page. The new data gets added to your existing eSIM. No reinstall needed.

  • Can I hotspot with my Morocco eSIM?

Hotspot availability depends on the plan. Halo adds no separate hotspot cap and does not meter hotspot data differently, so on plans that support it you can share your connection with a laptop, tablet or travel companion where the local network allows. Hotspot is provided by the network operator in Morocco rather than by Halo, so it is not something we can guarantee on every plan.
