Singapore is small, dense and comprehensively covered, including the MRT tunnels, Changi Airport and the length of the East Coast Park. There is effectively nowhere on the island with no signal. A Halo eSIM installs before you fly and starts counting when it first connects after you land, so you can be online in the queue at immigration. Free public Wi-Fi is widely available through Wireless@SG in malls, libraries and MRT stations, which takes real pressure off a data plan for anyone staying more than a few days. Singapore is also the most common stopover in the region, so it is worth checking whether your plan covers only Singapore or a wider Asian footprint if you are continuing to Malaysia, Indonesia or Thailand. A regional plan often works out better than two single-country ones.
Three to five GB is plenty for a week. Distances are short, Wi-Fi is everywhere and you will spend less time on maps than almost anywhere else in Asia. If Singapore is a two or three day stopover rather than the trip itself, the smallest plan on the shelf usually covers it comfortably.
Our Singapore plans currently list 4G rather than 5G, and 4G speeds on the island are fast enough that most travellers will not notice the difference.

Yes. The MRT network has mobile coverage throughout, including in the tunnels, so you can navigate, message and stream between stations without interruption. This is unusual and worth knowing if you are used to losing signal underground elsewhere.
It depends on what comes next. If Singapore is the whole trip, a single-country plan is the simplest option. If you are continuing to Malaysia, Indonesia or Thailand, compare it against one of our regional Asia plans before you buy, because one plan covering the whole route is usually cheaper than several.
Halo eSIMs are exclusively data-only eSIMs. While you can engage in voice calls and messaging through WhatsApp, Facetime, and other widely used VOIP apps, traditional phone calls and SMS are not supported.
Most phones from 2018 onwards support eSIM, including iPhone XR and XS and newer, Pixel 3 and newer, Galaxy S20 and newer. If it's a reasonably recent phone, you're probably fine. Check our device compatibility page if you want to be sure.
Before you leave, while you're still on Wi-Fi. Your plan only starts counting when you first connect to a network at your destination, so there's no cost to installing early. Singapore plans run from 1 to 45 days from that first connection. One less thing to sort at the airport.
Each plan lists its own networks and speed policy under Plan details on this page. Which networks a plan uses is set by our network partners and can change without notice, so we show them per plan rather than for the destination as a whole. Your device finds and connects to a supported network on its own when you arrive.
Yes, on the fixed-data plans. Running low? Purchase another plan for the same destination from your order page. The new data gets added to your existing eSIM. No reinstall needed. Top-ups are not available on the Unlimited (daily) plans. To keep using data after an Unlimited plan ends, buy a new plan.
Hotspot availability depends on the plan. Halo adds no separate hotspot cap and does not meter hotspot data differently, so on plans that support it you can share your connection with a laptop, tablet or travel companion where the local network allows. Hotspot is provided by the network operator in Singapore rather than by Halo, so it is not something we can guarantee on every plan.
