Install your Halo eSIM on Android devices from Motorola, Xiaomi, Oppo, and other manufacturers. The exact menu names vary by brand, but the process is the same.
What you need
- An eSIM-compatible Android device. The minimum Android version is set by the model, not by Halo, and our compatibility checker shows it for yours
- A Wi-Fi or mobile data connection (required to download the eSIM profile)
- Your Halo eSIM (from your order confirmation email or the purchase success page)
Not sure if your device supports eSIM? Dial *#06#. If an EID (a 32-digit number) appears, your device has eSIM hardware. See Is my device compatible? for full details.
Steps
- Open Settings on your device.
- Tap Network and internet, Connections, or Mobile network (the label varies by manufacturer).
- Look for SIM manager, SIM cards, or SIMs.
- Tap Add eSIM, Add mobile plan, or the + button.
- Select Scan QR code or Don’t have a SIM card?
- Point your camera at the Halo QR code.
- When the carrier plan details appear, tap Confirm or Accept.
- Wait for the profile to download. This takes 30 seconds to 2 minutes.
- Tap Done when the installation completes.

Set your data line
After installing the Halo eSIM, configure it as your mobile data line.
- Open your SIM or mobile network settings.
- Select the Halo eSIM as your preferred mobile data SIM.
- Disable data roaming or data switching on your primary SIM to prevent unexpected roaming charges.
Activate before you travel
Install your Halo eSIM while you still have a stable internet connection, ideally the day before your trip. The eSIM will activate automatically when you arrive at your destination and connect to a supported network.
