What do I do if my eSIM isn't connecting?

If your Halo eSIM shows “No Service” or isn’t connecting to a network after you arrive at your destination, work through these checks in order. Most connection issues resolve within the first three steps.

Quick checks

1. Confirm the eSIM line is turned on

Your Halo eSIM line must be enabled in your device settings.

iPhone

Open Settings > Cellular. Make sure the Halo eSIM line is toggled on. Tap the Halo line and confirm Turn On This Line is enabled.

Samsung

Open Settings > Connections > SIM manager. Make sure the Halo eSIM is toggled on.

Pixel/Android

Open Settings > Network and internet > SIMs. Tap the Halo eSIM and confirm Use SIM is toggled on.

2. Set the Halo eSIM as your data line

Your device may still be using your primary SIM for mobile data.

iPhone

Open Settings > Cellular > Mobile Data. Select the Halo eSIM line. Turn off Allow Mobile Data Switching.

Samsung

Open Settings > Connections > SIM manager > Mobile data. Select the Halo eSIM.

Pixel/Android

Open Settings > Network and internet > SIMs. Tap the Halo eSIM and toggle Mobile data on.

3. Restart your device

Power your device off completely, wait 10 seconds, then power it back on. This forces your device to search for available networks and often resolves connection issues after landing.

4. Check you are in a covered country

Confirm your current location is covered by your Halo data plan. Open your order confirmation email to see the countries included in your plan.

If you purchased a regional plan (e.g. Europe, Southeast Asia), check that the specific country you are in is listed.

5. Enable data roaming

Some eSIM data plans require data roaming to be enabled on the eSIM line.

Data roaming charges do not apply to your Halo eSIM because your data plan includes international coverage.

iPhone

Open Settings > Cellular. Tap the Halo eSIM line. Turn on Data Roaming.

Samsung

Open Settings > Connections > SIM manager. Tap the Halo eSIM. Turn on Data roaming.

Pixel/Android

Open Settings > Network and internet > SIMs. Tap the Halo eSIM. Turn on Roaming.

6. Select a network manually

If automatic network selection isn’t working, try selecting a network manually.

iPhone

Open Settings > Cellular. Tap the Halo eSIM line. Tap Network Selection. Turn off Automatic. Wait for the list of available networks to appear, then select one.

Samsung

Open Settings > Connections > Mobile networks. Turn off Auto select. Select a network from the list.

Pixel/Android

Open Settings > Network and internet > SIMs. Tap the Halo eSIM. Tap Preferred network type, then tap Choose network. Turn off Auto select and choose a network from the list.

7. Reset network settings

If none of the above steps resolve the issue, reset your network settings. This clears saved Wi-Fi passwords and Bluetooth connections but does not remove your eSIM profiles.

After resetting, reconnect to Wi-Fi and check whether the Halo eSIM connects.

iPhone

Open Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Reset > Reset Network Settings.

Samsung

Open Settings > General management > Reset > Reset network settings.

Pixel/Android

Open Settings > System > Reset options > Reset Wi-Fi, mobile and Bluetooth.
