How buying a Halo plan works

Buying a Halo plan takes a couple of minutes and happens entirely on the web. You pick a destination, pick a plan, and pay. Your eSIM is emailed to you. Nothing is posted.

The steps

  1. Pick your destination. Browse destinations, or tell Hal where you are going and let it suggest something.
  2. Pick a plan. Each one lists its data allowance and how many days it runs. See choosing a plan if you are unsure.
  3. Open checkout. The checkout window opens on the page you are already on. You are not sent off to another site.
  4. Enter your email. This is where your eSIM is sent, so it is worth checking for typos.
  5. Agree and pay. You confirm that your eSIM is supplied immediately, then pay. See how you can pay.

Then your eSIM arrives by email, usually within a few minutes.

Can I buy from the chat?

Ask Hal about a destination and it can show you plans and take you straight to them, so you do not have to go hunting. You then complete the payment in the secure checkout window, the same one you would get anywhere else on the site.

What you cannot do is pay by typing card details to Hal. Hal never asks for card details and you should never send them in chat.

Do you sell physical SIM cards?

No. Halo sells eSIMs only, in every destination we cover. There is no plastic card, no postage, and no waiting for delivery, which is what lets your plan reach you in minutes rather than days. Your phone needs to support eSIM to use one – see compatible devices.

One purchase, not a subscription

A Halo plan is a one-time purchase. Nothing renews, nothing recurs, and no payment is taken again unless you choose to buy another plan or top up an active one.

If checkout has been sitting open a while

If you leave checkout open a long time, close it and start again from the plan. Nothing has been charged.
