Your eSIM is set up automatically as soon as your payment goes through, and everything you need to install it is emailed to you. Nothing is posted and nothing is shipped. This usually takes a few minutes.
Step by step
- Payment is confirmed. The checkout window shows that your payment was received.
- Your eSIM is prepared. This happens in the background and needs nothing from you.
- Your email arrives, with the subject line saying your eSIM is ready.
- You install it. Takes under two minutes.
Installing the eSIM does not start your plan. Your days begin the first time your phone connects to a network at your destination, not when you install, so there is no cost to installing early at home on Wi-Fi. See when to buy and install.
What is in the email
- Install on iPhone and Install on Android buttons. One tap and you are done, which is the quickest way in.
- A QR code, if tapping does not open anything. It works on every phone.
- The manual details – your activation code and SM-DP+ address – for installing by hand.
- Your order ID and your plan’s destination, data and validity.
- A link to your eSIM portal page, where you can check your usage with no login needed.
Your portal page
The portal link is the one to keep. It is where you check your remaining data, view your receipt, and top up while your plan is running. Add it to your home screen if you would rather not dig the email out later.
If the email has not arrived
Give it a few minutes, then check your spam or junk folder. It is sent to the address you entered at checkout, so also check for a typo in that address.
If it still is not there, chat with Hal. Hal will take the details the team needs and pass your conversation to a real person, so you do not have to explain it twice. Do not buy a second plan to work around a missing email.
If we cannot set up your eSIM
Occasionally a plan cannot be provisioned. If our system tries several times and cannot complete the setup, we email you to say so and refund you in full to your original payment method. You do not have to ask, and you are never left holding a charge for an eSIM you did not receive. Depending on your bank, a refund can take 5 to 10 business days to appear.
